Murray Exchange Club to Recognize Abuse Victims

Mar 13, 2015 12:39PM ● By City Journals Staff

Participants from last year’s event place pinwheels at Murray City Hall to bring awareness to child abuse and domestic violence.

On Tuesday, March 17, the Murray City Council will designate April 2015 as the Prevention of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Month.

Each year the Murray Exchange Club hosts an event to bring attention to the many cases of child abuse that occur in the city, county and state. This year, that event will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Murray City Hall (5025 South State Street).

Participants will plant a pinwheel at city hall for every case of child abuse that has been documented in the city. Last year, more than 230 pinwheels were placed at city hall.
