Stars Announce 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY (August 22, 2016) – The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today their schedule for the 2016-17 season. The Stars will play 24 home games at Salt Lake Community College in the Lifetime Activities Center-Bruin Arena on Redwood Road in Taylorsville. All home games will be played at 7 p.m. MT.  

The Stars, who will compete in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference, tipoff their inaugural 2016-17 campaign on a two-game road trip where they will face the Sioux Falls Skyforce, in South Dakota, on Nov. 12. They then travel to Oklahoma City to face the Blue on Nov. 15.

The team returns home to face the Northern Arizona Suns on Nov. 18 for their first game at Salt Lake Community College. The regular season ends April 1 on the road against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

The Stars will play each team in the Western Conference four times (two home/two away) for a total of 40 games, including two games at the annual NBA D-League Showcase in January. The team will also play 10 games against the Eastern Conference (five home/five away). 

The month-by-month schedule breakdown includes eight games in November (four home/four road), nine games in December (five home/four road), nine games in January (six home/three road), eight games in February (four home/four road), 13 games in March (five home/eight road) and one game in April (one road). The Stars will have a fourteen-day extended break from Feb. 9-22, with All-Star Weekend taking place February 17-19.

The team will play seven back-to-back sets (one home/away, one away/home, four home/home and one away/away). The longest home stretch of the season will feature 10 games from Dec. 16 – Jan. 11, while the longest road trip will happen from March 15-25 with six games.

All 50 Stars games will be streamed live on www.slcstars.com. Twenty-two home games can also be heard on The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM, 97.5 FM).
