Sounds of Summer Free Friday Concert: 23rd Army Band

The “Sounds of Summer Free Friday Concert Series” begins June 8 and goes to August 3. The concerts are in the Midvale City Park Amphitheater, 455 W 7500 S. with lawn seating—bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The evening begins at 6:30 pm, when we will be presenting a gift to all veterans in attendance. There will also be free family activities including balloon artistry, chalk and bubble fun, and the park’s splash pad. The concert begins at 7:00 pm following the activities.

The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band was established in 1924 and today travels throughout the state, performing for official functions and community projects. Each year the band performs across the state of Utah, giving clinics and concerts for schools; performing at civic functions; marching in parades; and providing music for military dances, changes of command and other ceremonies.
