Body Logic Dance Company presents: CAGES

Professional dance company in a humanitarian concert series with the Utah Animal Adoption Center, a non-profit, no-kill shelter. This concert kicks-off a year-long collaboration between these two non-profit organizations.

Body Logic Dance Company presents their Annual Humanitarian Concert Series in partnership with Utah Animal Adoption Center, “Cages” January 17 and 18, 2019. The concert will feature original works by Janalyn Memmott, Nicole Ortega, and Patti Jo Hopes, along with company members. The choreographers were told to explore the theme "cages," and what this single word may spark in them at this current time.  In each work, the choreographers delve into situations, experiences, and even limits that keep one caged one way or another, and how we handle, adapt or break free from a cage.  As part of Body Logic's Humanitarian series, this concert will begin a year-long collaboration with the Utah Animal Adoption Center in support of their cause of reducing the tragedies of pet overpopulation, the euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets and animal suffering since 1983. Proceeds from the concerts will go benefit the UAAC sanctuary.
