Fourth-grader Tarun Martheswaran got a perfect score at the Sept. 29 trimathlon, sponsored by Mathnasium. On Oct. 6, Tarun competed against other fourth-graders who also got perfect scores. He had to make the largest number possible including the numbers 6 and 9, but not to exceed 270. Tarun, who attends Peruvian Park, won third place nationally and received prizes, including a check for $250 and an Xbox Kinect. Tarun is pictured with Draper’s Mathnasium owner Mark Minson.
