A dance, a service project, a cake, an open house — these and several other ideas are in the works as Riverview Junior High is planning its 50-year celebration the week of March 5.

Organizers also are planning to create a school memory book, complete with letters, pictures and memories from current and former students, staff, faculty and administrators, student government adviser Brandon Harrison said.

“We want students and those who have been part of the school community to embrace in the excitement of the 50-year celebration and have pride in who they are for these three years of their lives,” Harrison said.

To volunteer with the events or to submit letters and pictures, either email Harrison at bharrison@murrayschools.org or call the school at (801) 264-7446.
