Youth musical auditions set

Auditions for a number of youth musicals are scheduled at various school facilities throughout the winter months. Thanks to ZAP funding, Murray City has hired directors to produce musicals for elementary age youth. Ages vary for each production. Those auditioning must be Murray residents or attend public schools in Murray.  

Directors usually ask students to recite a poem or nursery rhyme and sing one verse of a song.   Auditions will be held after school, typically around 3:45 p.m., at Grant Elementary on Feb. 3, McMillan on Jan. 24 and 26, Liberty on Feb. 2, Twin Peaks on Jan. 20, Horizon on Feb. 6-7 and Parkside on Jan. 25. Rehearsals are scheduled during after school hours 2-4 times each week.
