Every life tells a story, and we want to hear as many stories as we can!

Mark Redd was a fellow member of the Murray chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.  Those of us who knew him enjoyed his sense of humor, his sincerity, his stories, and his love for life and people.  Mark recently left us, but his wife, Veralae, will speak to our chapter meeting on Wednesday, April 22nd, at the Golden Corral in Murray.  She will tell stories of Mark’s ancestors.  She has a wonderful presentation, and we would like all who can to hear it.  You are invited to join us in celebrating the lives of Mark Redd and his ancestors.

History is fun and interesting, and the study of history is one of the reasons for the organization known as the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.  We invite you to join us.  On May 27th Tom Alexander, national president of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, will speak to us of the history of our organization—we will learn how and when and why the Sons of the Utah Pioneers was created.

The Murray chapter meets the 4th Wednesday of each month for a restaurant dinner and presentations about pioneers.  Furthermore, we participate in events sponsored by the national organization, such as the 2015 National Convention in Brigham City, Utah, this summer.  Admission for membership is $50 per year for the first year and you will associate with others who share your interest in remembering and honoring our pioneers.  For more information, please call Joe Nelson at 801-597-9374.
