Deer Valley Resort teams up with ARUP Blood Services for its annual blood drive. Employees and the public are urged to dress up and donate during the Halloween-themed Transylvania Tea Party scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30. from 10 - 3 at the base area Snow Park Lodge. This is the 12th year for this event.

"There really isn't a much better way to get into the Halloween spirit than to dress up and give blood,” said Stacey Taylor, Deer Valley Resort director of Human Resources.

Over 100 people attended last year's blood drive and donated more than 65 units of blood. The blood is used for emergency situations and to help individuals suffering from cancer, blood disorders, sickle-cell anemia and other illnesses. Walk-ins are welcome.

Costumes are optional and light refreshments will be provided. Donors must come with a photo ID, be 18 or older (or at least 16 years old with parental permission slip), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
