Imagine putting on snowshoes and taking a gentle stroll to Solitude’s secluded yurt for a gourmet dinner. The short walk is invigorating and it makes you hungry. The mountain air is crisp. Stars shine overhead. The only sound is the swish-swish of the snowshoes as they slide along the snowy path. Lanterns light the destination – the cozy yurt.

Gerome and his staff finish preparing a lavish four course dinner. You get to watch the artistry of preparation as you’re right there.

The night I was there, the menu included a specialty winter salad, a poached and seared halibut appetizer, herb roasted beef with all the trimmings, and a mountain berry gallate dessert.
