1) At Alta this week. Alta hosts an all-women's event on Saturday, Jan. 20 that includes a free beginner lesson if needed, discounted lift tickets, a ski limbo, ski carrying contest and casual on-mountain tips and tricks from locals.
To kick the morning off, Alta will provide pastries and coffee for a welcome reception at 10:30 a.m. at the Albion Grill. Please RSVP and donate $5 to SheJumps using the eventbrite page https://www.eventbrite.com/e/iwsd-alta-with-shejumps-and-k2-tickets-40939852200 if you plan to attend.
It will be the 5th annual International Women's Ski & Snowboard Day at Alta sponsored by K2 and SheJumps. However please note that snowboarding is not allowed at Alta, but the event visits other resorts where snowboarding is allowed.
The free never-ever or beginner ski lesson is provided by the award-winning Alta Ski School. It's a group lesson and you must sign up by Thursday, January 17th. Rentals are not included and a lift ticket purchase is not necessary for this beginner lesson.
Après ski events wrap up the day with a film screening and a chance to win prizes.
2) At Brighton in February. Women like to learn with other women. It's fun. It's bonding. It's a great experience with no men allowed! And you can sharpen your skills and learn new ones. Brighton's all-women workshops are 4-sessions -- either Wednesdays or Thursdays -- with the same female instructor.
The bargain price of $299 includes an all-day lift ticket for each session plus a light get acquainted brunch on the first morning. The next sessions start in February. Register now to reserve your spot as classes fill quickly when it gets close to the start dates.

Workshops are geared to skill development for beginner through advanced skiers and snowboarders. They focus on the balance between comfort and exploring different conditions and terrain.
3) In Ogden all season. Take a vacation close to home. Book a couple nights in one of the participating hotels and ski or ride for 3 full days at Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley for just $157. Get your snow fix with the Ski3 pass.

Ogden's 3 resorts have more than 12,000 skiable acres. Ski or ride until your legs fall off.
Nordic Valley offers affordable and varied terrain and it's considered the best learning hill in the west. And it has night skiing.
Powder Mountain has expansive groomed and au natural lift-served terrain. Ski as far as your eye can see and then ski further.
Snowbasin has opulent lodges and world-renowned mountains that remind many of Switzerland. It was the venue for the downhill, combined, and Super-G events during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
